The Top 100 Super Lawyers (California) list is one of the Top Lists within the Super Lawyers program. It features the selected Super Lawyers attorneys in California who earned the highest overall point totals in the program's evaluation. Super Lawyers rates individual attorneys state by state, drawing from firms of every size and more than 70 practice areas, and limits its ratings to lawyers whom the public can hire and retain. California listings are organized by region, including Northern California, Southern California and San Diego.
Lawyers enter the candidate pool through a formal nomination by a peer or when the Super Lawyers research department identifies them during its research. Self-nominations are not accepted, and lawyers may not campaign for or solicit nominations from colleagues. Researchers score candidates on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, and a peer review stage follows. Attorneys do not pay to be selected or listed.
